Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Indiana was proud to honor the Mustard Seed Furniture Bank of Fort Wayne, Inc. as the 2016 Charity of Integrity at the 11th Celebration of the Torch Awards on Thursday, April 21, at the Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation. Executive Director Suzie Jordan was presented the award by Debbie Meyer, Executive Director of Erin’s House for Grieving Children, a previous Charity of Integrity honoree.

The Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust ignite a passion for ethics by celebrating those who “Do It Right!” Established in 2006 and hosted by the Charitable & Educational (C & E) Foundation of the BBB, the awards bring attention to the stellar practices that our honorees employ to generate a high level of trust among their team members, their customers and their communities.

The Mustard Seed, which meets all 20 stringent standards established by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance, was nominated by BBB staff members. The final selection of the Charity of Integrity was made by the C & E Foundation Board.

“From the BBB team to the entire Mustard Seed team, congratulations! By serving the most vulnerable in our community with respect, compassion and integrity, you are bringing hope to many in our community.  Thank you for the extraordinary services that you provide,” said Marjorie Stephens, President / CEO, BBB serving Northern Indiana.
